Sts Kiril & Methody Bulgarian Festival & MAY CELEBRATION of BULGARIAN CULTURE 5/9 - 5/31

On May 17th The Bulgarian community gathers at the Croatian American Cultural Center to celebrate their culture, and honor the Saints Kiril & Methody. There is Bulgarian music, dancing, and delicious samples of Bulgarian food and wine. It is a day of appreciation for all art, science and knowledge. There are garlands of flowers woven by children, and bread is shared with all. Artists from neighboring cultures are invited to join. Special guests of the Festival will be Radostina Koneva and Orchestra LUDI MALDI  from Las Vegas in the Bay Area for the first time.  Radostina is one of Bulgaria's leading Thracian style singers.

Traditions and Transitions; Yesterday Meets Tomorrow in new Croatian Performance Art

We invite you to join us in a gala event celebrating the Croatian contemporary dance ensemble's performance of Angels of Suderac in the San Francisco International Arts Festival. Croatian dancers Sandra Banic, Rina Kotor, Sonja Pregrad, Zrinka Simicic, Liljana Zagorac, Zoran Cica, and Miljecko Bengez  will give a demonstration of the choreography by Croatian American Kate Foley. There will also be a performance of original jazz by Greg Sankovich and ensemble, and traditional songs by the Dalmacijo Singers.
